Microsoft Interview Tips 💅

Here is the #1 interview hack I used to land 3 Microsoft Internships. I’ve also helped 100+ students get their dream offers and interviews at Microsoft, Uber, and more using this technique!

Use my method: Skyler’s STAR Sandwich.

Here is my template to an example question, “What was your biggest challenge when working with a team?”

Start with a grabber statement that talks about a core value you have relating to the company’s mission.

For example: “I approach team challenges with a sense of empathy, and ensure that everyone’s voices are heard by doing weekly check-ins with each teammate.”

Then, dive into your story with the STAR method.

Situation. Task. Action. Result.

Lastly, end with a conclusion statement that sandwiches your story, ties up that value, and describes how you can apply that value to that company.

For example: “As you can see from the results of my approach to this team challenge, I lead teams with a sense of empathy, and I can bring this quality to the table as a Product Manager Intern at [Company].”
