Conference Tips for aspiring PMs ⭐️

When pitching yourself to a recruiter at a networking event or conference, use this 1-minute pitch template:

1. Introduce yourself with your name, position, school, major, and/or role you're looking for.

2. State what you're interested in.

For example, you could say, "I'm passionate about the intersections between user research, business, and design, which is why I'd love to pursue PM."

3. Highlight a major accomplishment within your career.

4. State why you're interested in the company and role.

You can talk about a recent product update within that organization, such as "Copilot for Viva Engage at Microsoft." Then, ask if the company is doing on-site interviews for that role.
